Ready to craft, fold and draw? For visitors from 6 to 106 years old!
At the Do-It-Yourself-Lab, anyone who is creative and curious can roll up their sleeves and create an artwork or go exploring.
Copy Room
The works of Brueghel are real puzzles. By drawing or colouring them, you can discover all kinds of details. In this Copy Room, visitors can place a line drawing on the projection of Brueghel the Younger's Census in Bethlehem and complete the work according to their imagination.
Studio Paper Hat
People in the 16th century often wore headgear, usually made of leather or fabric. In this lab, we stick to paper. Using various designs, you can fold a fantastic hat yourself.
Making little chapels
Among the old art paintings at Bonnefanten stands Church I (2018) by Helen Verhoeven. Walking into this little wooden building, you meet silence, as if you were entering a church with real stained-glass windows. You can recreate the little chapel in paper. Find the construction sheet, cut out the chapel and don't forget to give it a striking colour. You can take your artwork home or display it in the Do-It-Yourself-Lab.
