Let’s open up! We open the doors for you to open your mind.

Outside on the forecourt, the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop will be celebrated under the motto: 50 year anniversary jam- 'What does it all mean.' Enjoy and dance to music by various DJs and a drum robot.

Inside, you will find references to Hip Hop in Memories by Sellam El Achari, dancer and choreographer of SALLY Dance Company Maastricht. Throughout the museum are stages where music, poetry and dance meet in continuous performances. Participants of the VISTA college Language+ have created a work of art for the occasion as a reflection on the theme of freedom. Experience Museum Night Maastricht to its fullest from the Bonnefanten tower or as a visitor of the Lavelöss Party @Museumcafé Ipanema. And of course, you can also get to work yourself; YOUNG OFFICE and Stichting Stadsnomade will host a cool tote-bag workshop.
