Pop-up museum: Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke at Pinkpop

Stanley Donwood (1968) and Thom Yorke (1968) met as students at the art academy. Since 1994, they have collaborated on hundreds of artworks, online projects and album covers for Yorke’s bands and his solo projects.
The Bonnefanten Pop-up museum is showing four recent acquisitions created by the artists’ duo. Three of the artworks stand out for their dreamy style and bright colours, and are made in a variety of sizes and materials. They also adorn the covers of albums by The Smile: ‘A Light for Attracting Attention’ (2022) and ‘Wall of Eyes’ (2024). These album covers are exhibited alongside the original artworks, and you can listen to the music in the Pop-up museum. At the beginning of this year, Stanley Donwood also made the linocut entitled . The lino and the creative process are also part of the exhibition in the Pop-up museum.
