The exhibition The Studio #5: Antoine Berghs is on view in the Bonnefanten from Sunday 3 October 2021. On October 22, Berghs opened the second part of his exhibition during Museumnacht Maastricht with a ritualistic performance. Aided by things like noise and flashing light, Berghs took himself and the audience into a ‘parallel world’. The video below shows a short version of Berghs ritual performance. 

Antoine Berghs prefers to describe his work as a continuous pilgrimage: ‘a cathartic journey to get a grip on things and the world’. For Berghs, creating art is a journey, deep inside which is about change and pushing back frontiers.
